Program and course delivery

This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format with some courses available in Seneca's flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements. For courses offered in the flexible delivery format, professors use innovative learning spaces and technology to teach students in a classroom or lab and broadcast in real time to students attending remotely. In flexible courses, students have the choice of coming on campus or learning online.

Student Works and Experiences

As the culminating project for the Event Management program, Inspired Spaces will be the highlight of your studies. The annual tabletop competition challenges you to develop a fictitious event for a mock client and gives you an opportunity to have your work critiqued by a panel of industry professionals.

Inspired Spaces takes place within Redefining Design, the annual year-end event for Seneca’s fashion programs. Graduating students of Event Management – Creative Design, Fashion Arts, Floral Design and Visual Merchandising Arts have the opportunity to showcase their creative work in a collaborative environment.

From Day 1, you’ll be thrown into exciting preparations for Bloor Street Entertains — Canada’s largest annual fundraising gala that supports the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research. Working with iconic storefronts in Toronto’s Yorkville Village, you’ll use your creative skills to transform retail venues into luxurious dining experiences for just one night. From concept to execution, you’ll work alongside other professionals as part of your official introduction to the Canadian events industry.
