The University of Windsor has plenty of pathways available for students transferring from college. Whether a student has completed a two- or three-year program, or are looking to transfer a few courses, the University of Windsor has options. Seneca students will be granted credit for University of Windsor courses in recognition of academic course work completed if the course work is deemed to be equivalent.

Applicants who have completed a minimum of one year of a College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT) diploma program that is academic in nature with a minimum cumulative average of “B” (3.0 GPA) at the CAAT will be considered for admission to first year of an appropriate program. Applicants who have graduated from a three-year CAAT program that is academic in nature with a minimum cumulative average of “B” (3.0 GPA) at the CAAT will be considered for admission to second year of an appropriate program.


Degree: Bachelor of Commerce

Graduates of these Seneca programs with a minimum GPA of 70 per cent (B-) are eligible for up to 20 credits towards this degree, allowing for advanced standing into the third year of this four-year degree program.

Students are admissible to the Honours Business Administration degree completion pathways following degree of a CAAT college (or equivalents) diploma program previously completed with a cumulative average of 80 per cent (A- or 3.5/4) or better for the fast-track or 70 per cent (B-) or better for the non-fast track option.


Degree: Bachelor of Commerce

Graduates of these Seneca programs with a minimum GPA of 70 per cent (B-) are eligible for up to 10 credits towards this degree allowing for advanced standing into the second year of this four-year degree.

Degree: Fast Track Bachelor of Commerce

Graduates of these Seneca programs with a minimum GPA of 80 per cent (3.5 GPA) are eligible for up to 33 advanced standing credits, leaving 17 to complete.

Degree: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates may receive transfer credit for up to 10 courses (one year). Credit is awarded for approved courses with a minimum grade of 3.0 (70 per cent).

Graduates of the two-year Liberal Arts diploma program from Seneca may receive transfer credit forup to ten courses. Transfer credit is awarded for approved courses with a minimum grade of B.


Degree: Bachelor of Computer Science (General) or Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours Applied Computing)

Graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible, within 10 years of graduation, to apply for admission to a degree program offered by the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor and may receive transfer credit for up to 15 semester courses (1.5 years of advanced standing). Students who have not successfully completed Grade 12U Advanced Functions will be required to take MATH-1280 (Access to Algebra) or its equivalent.

Degree: Bachelor of Computer Science (General) or Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours Applied Computing)

Graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible, within 10 years of graduation, to apply for admission to a degree program offered by the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor and may receive transfer credit for up to 15 semester courses (1.5 years of advanced standing). Students who have not successfully completed Grade 12U Advanced Functions will be required to take MATH-1280 (Access to Algebra) or its equivalent.

Degree: BA Honours in Disability Studies

Graduates of these two-year diploma programs with an overall 3.0 GPA (B) average or better may be admitted into the second year of the PreDisability Studies program. Please refer to theBA Honours in Disability Studies for College of Applied Arts and Technology Graduates for more details.

Seneca Program: Child & Youth Care

Degree: BA Honours in Disability Studies, Psychology, Social Work

Graduates of Child and Youth Care (formerly Child and Youth Worker), Developmental ServicesWorker, Early Childhood Education, Educational Support, Social Services Worker diploma programs with an overall B average or better may be admitted into second year of the Disability Studies program. Graduates of related Education, Community and Social Services programs may be admitted with Disability Studies Program Coordinator (or their designate) approval. Seneca Program: Early Childhood Education

Degree: BA or BSW in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science

Students who have completed the diploma in Early Childhood Education with an overall average of at least “B” (3.0 GPA) will normally receive a minimum of 10 course equivalents towards a BA or BSW degree in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Seneca Program: Child & Youth Care

Degree: BA or BSW in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Students who have completed the Child and Youth Care Diploma program with a cumulative average grade of B (3.0) or better will normally receive a minimum of 15 university credits toward a BA or BSW degree in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Seneca Program: Social Service Worker

Degree: BA or BSW in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Students who have completed a Social Service Worker diploma program recognized by and making them eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers with a cumulative average grade of “B” (3.0/70%) or better will normally receive a minimum of 10 university credits towards a BA degree or BSW degree in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Seneca Program: Environmental Technician

Degree: Bachelor of Science in Applied Environmental Science

Seneca graduates with a minimum “B” average (3.0 GPA) are eligible for this pathway. Students andwill need to complete 20 courses (two years) to obtain the degree. Students must also havecompleted MHF4U, SCH4U and SBI4U (students who have not completed the high schoolrequirements will be required to complete the equivalent courses within the Foundations ofScience program).

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Applied Economics and Policy Stream)

Seneca graduates with a minimum “B” average (73 per cent) are eligible for this pathway. Students will need to complete 23 courses to obtain the degree. Students must also have completed MHF4U or equivalent (students who have not completed the high school requirements will be required to complete the equivalent courses within the Foundations of Science program).

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Applied Economics and Policy Stream)

Seneca graduates with a minimum “B” average (73 per cent) are eligible for this pathway. Students who have not completed MHF4U will be required to complete the equivalent course within the Foundations of Science Preparation Program. Successful applicants to this Degree Completion

program will receive two years of advanced standing (awarded up to 19 credits) and will need tocomplete an additional 21 courses to receive the degree.


Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Forensics and Criminology (Applied Forensic Stream)

Seneca graduates with a minimum “B” average (73 per cent) are eligible for this pathway. Students are required to have successfully completed MHF4U and SBI4U or equivalent and if not will be required to complete these courses within the Foundations of Science Preparation Program. Successful applicants will receive two years of advanced standing (20 transfer credits) and will be required to complete 21 courses for the degree.
