Degree: Bachelor of Science

The University of Guelph considers applications from graduates who have at least a 75 per cent average or a 3.5 GPA on Seneca’s grading scale. In addition to a cumulative average of 75 per cent or higher, all applicants must have successfully completed MHF4U Advanced Functions or MCV4U Calculus and Vectors (depending on the major to which they are applying), or an approved equivalent course. Students may be granted up to 10 credits, enabling the completion of a General B.Sc. in as little as two full-time semesters and an Honours B.Sc. in four full-time semesters. Seneca Program: Biotechnology – Advanced

Degree: Bachelor of Science (Honours)

The University of Guelph considers applications from graduates who have a minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent or 3.5 GPA on Seneca’s grading scale. Students may be granted up to 10 transfer credits, allowing for completion of a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in as few as four semesters of full-time study. Eligible students will choose from one of four majors: biochemistry, biological sciences, microbiology or molecular biology and genetics. Degree: Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality and Tourism Management

The University of Guelph considers applications from graduates who have a minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent or3.5 GPA on Seneca’s grading scale. Students may be granted up to 10 transfer credits, allowing for the completion of a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Major in Hospitality and Tourism Management in as few as four semesters of full-time studies. Degree: Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management – Environmental Management

The University of Guelph considers applications from graduates who have a minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent or a 3.5 GPA on Seneca’s grading scale. Students may be granted up to 10 transfer credits if entering from the Environmental Technology program and up to five transfer credits if entering from the Environmental Technician or Environmental Technician – Sampling & Monitoring program. Students will be eligible to complete a Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management degree with a major in Environmental Management in as few as six semesters of full-time study. Degree: Bachelor of Computing (General) or Bachelor of Computing (Honours) in Computer Science

The University of Guelph considers applications from graduates who have a minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent or a 3.5 GPA on Seneca’s grading scale. Students may be granted up to 10 transfer credits, allowing for the completion of a Bachelor of Computing (General) degree in as few as two semesters of full-time study, or the honours variant in four semesters. Seneca Program: Early Childhood Education

Degree: Bachelor of Applied Science, Major Child Studies

The University of Guelph will consider applications from graduates of Seneca’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program who have:

  • an ECE diploma with a graduating average of B (equivalent) or higher
  • no less than 10 academic courses (exclusive of field-placement courses) with a final course grade of A (equivalent)
  • a 4U credit in Mathematics and one in 4U Biology

Degree: Bachelor of Arts, General, or Bachelor of Arts, Honours

Graduates are eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Arts at the University of Guelph. The following majors and options are excluded from this arrangement:

  • Criminal Justice and Public Policy
  • Co-op

Applicants need to have graduated from their program, having passed all courses with a minimum cumulative average of 70 per cent.

Each course needs to have been passed on the first attempt.

Eligible applicants will also receive the following transfer credits:

  • up to 2.5 credits for certificates
  • up to 5.0 credits for diplomas

Degree: Any undergraduate degree program

Students who have completed or are completing a Pre-Health Science Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees, may be eligible to use this credential towards admission to a degree program at the University of Guelph.

Applicants are highly encouraged to maintain a minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent in the certificate program.

Successful completion of this certificate can be used in lieu of the following Ontario high school courses:

  • ENG4U English
  • MDM4U Data Management
  • SBI4U Biology
  • SCH4U Chemistry

In addition to the minimum cumulative average of 75 per cent, certificate courses corresponding to the indicated 4U courses may also be subject to minimum grade requirements. This minimum grade requirement is subject to the discretion of the admission committee for the degree program to which students are applying.

Depending on the program to which students are applying, they may still be required to present proof of successful completion of additional high school courses or approved equivalents, such as MHF4U Advanced Functions, MCV4U Calculus and Vectors or SPH4U Physics.

Successful applicants are not eligible to receive transfer credits for courses completed in the certificate.
