“Becoming an emergency medical dispatcher (EMD) had been a dream of mine for many years, so when looking for a school to complete my diploma, Seneca was my top choice. My professors were all very knowledgeable and all came from similar fields pertaining to my studies, which was helpful in preparing us to apply for jobs at the end of the program. I was able to obtain a position within three months of graduating with Toronto Paramedic Services as an EMD and work alongside two of my professors from Seneca. I am honored to be a graduate from Seneca and would recommend the program for anyone looking to enter the emergency services field.“

“My career in public safety started with Seneca. After graduation, I successfully competed for the role as a dispatcher with a law enforcement unit. Five years into that role, I made the transition from a frontline dispatcher to a supervisor within that same agency. In this position, I supervised a team of dispatchers and developed my management skills. Later, I joined a large provincial operations centre in a similar role. Over those 10 years, I gained experience in emergency communications, leadership, operations, training, emergency management, public/community safety and policy. I give much credit to my instructors and program leads at Seneca for their support and mentorship during my time as a student. I was given practical and real-life experience preparing me for the journey ahead and would highly recommend this program at Seneca to anyone pursuing similar roles.”

Annabelle Adjei
Graduate, Law Clerk
“Seneca helped me reaffirm my passion for my career. After attending university and earning my bachelor’s degree in criminology I was burnt out and uncertain about whether criminal law was right for me. I wanted to explore other areas of law while building a solid foundation of practical skills that could be applied to any legal field – and that is what brought me to Seneca.
It was the perfect place for me to grow both professionally and personally. The Law Clerk program allowed me to learn about various areas of law in depth. I gained essential technical skills and built meaningful connections with classmates and instructors who offered me invaluable guidance. I formed lasting friendships with people from diverse countries and cultures that encouraged me to be bold and offered support. In the end, I reaffirmed my commitment to criminal law. I honestly believe that Seneca changed my life for the better.
Furthermore, the technical skills I gained from each class provided a solid foundation for my new job in criminal defence. I currently work at a criminal defence firm, Savard Foy LLP, as a Receptionist/Legal Administrative Assistant. Fun fact: my Office Manager is also a Seneca Alum!”

The paralegal program was an exceptional and pivotal step in my legal career. Attending Seneca provided invaluable experience and sparked my interest in student clubs, mooting, and law.
