Training

Our fleet

Seneca's fleet consists of 19 aircrafts:

  • 2 G58 Beechcraft Barons
  • 2 B58 Beechcraft Barons
  • 8 G1000 Cessna 172S
  • 7 Round Dial Cessna 172S

Students begin their flight training in the single-engine Cessna 172S. Training includes long distance flights to locations such as Burlington, Vermont; and Fredericton, New Brunswick. Students then progress to the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron.

Our simulators

Seneca’s simulation devices include:

  • 7 Flight Training Devices
  • 1 Redbird X-Wind Trainer

Ten flightdeck simulators are used at Seneca. Some simulators recreate the experience of flying Seneca’s fleet of aircraft and provide students with greater knowledge of the airplanes they are flying, while others are used to expand students’ aviation knowledge. The Redbird X-Wind simulator gives students the ability to repeatedly land an aircraft during difficult wind-related situations. Students who are in the final phases of their program move to the CRJ 200 Regional Jet simulator and the B200 Turboprop simulator where they learn about multi-crew flight decks and processes.
