Prepare for work in the field of cybersecurity. Students will have access to 11 stackable microcredentials, covering topics such as cryptography, network security, cyber-attack identification and prevention, Microsoft Azure fundamentals and security engineering, cyber threat hunting, incident response, information protection and more. Using a self-directed learning approach, these microcredentials also offer virtual live sessions, allowing students the opportunity to connect with professors and other students. Those who complete all credentials can do so in just 21 weeks. Participants will receive 162 class hours, including 90 hours of Microsoft certification, as well as 100 hours of lab access.
These microcredentials have small class sizes and are offered fully online, providing students with flexibility in their learning. Live sessions will also be scheduled during the evenings to accommodate various time zones across Canada. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to identify various types of cyberattacks while becoming familiar with the threat landscape. They will also develop skills in implementing security measures and protecting network security.
Note: The Cybersecurity Analyst program is open to all learners, however, network administration experience, a Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate certification is encouraged.
Applicants do not require a previous diploma or degree. Participants must also be authorized to work in Canada, have English proficiency at a postsecondary level and a genuine interest in pursuing a new and exciting career in cybersecurity.
