About the Program

Seneca is partnering with Avid Technology Inc. to offer three microcredentials that will provide you with the training needed to enter the booming film and television industry as an Avid ingest operator or an assistant editor:

Avid Ingest Operations
Output and Delivery for Unscripted TV – Avid
Media Organization for Unscripted TV – Avid

These microcredentials will help you improve your understanding of the Avid Media Composer skillset, which is in high demand in the industry, and set you apart from other entry-level assistant editors.

Avid is the industry standard for creating, storing, distributing and monetizing digital film and television content. You should have a beginner’s level of understanding of Avid Media Composer and digital media prior to enrolling in these courses.

Our Avid microcredentials were developed with funding from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
