Program and course delivery

This program is offered in Seneca's hybrid delivery format with some courses available in Seneca's flexible delivery format. Some coursework is online and some must be completed in person. Students will need to come on campus to complete in-person learning requirements. For courses offered in the flexible delivery format, professors use innovative learning spaces and technology to teach students in a classroom or lab and broadcast in real time to students attending remotely. In flexible courses, students have the choice of coming on campus or learning online.

About the Program

This three-year advanced diploma program allows you to explore your creativity while acquiring essential skills for a career in the fashion industry. These skills include illustration, 3D computer-aided design, sewing, pattern making, textiles and clothing construction. The curriculum also emphasizes sustainability, diversity and technology.

The program culminates with a presentation of your graduating collection, where you can showcase your avant-garde designs in your area of interest — whether it’s streetwear, outerwear, evening wear or couture. Adding to the Fashion Arts program experience is access to our Fashion Resource Centre, which houses over 12,000 Canadian-worn garments and accessories dating back to 1840.
