Seneca provides eligible employees with an employment insurance top-up, up to 93 per cent of the employee’s salary for pregnancy and parental leave for up to 52 weeks. The 52 weeks of top-up payments may be spread out for up to a maximum of 78 weeks for extended leaves.

Tuition Assistance
Full-time Seneca employees may receive reimbursement of tuition fees for successfully completed transcript courses that are a part of a Seneca-approved certificate, diploma or degree.
Tuition Subsidy
Through the Office of the Registrar, Seneca provides full-time employees reduced tuition of $20 per course for all Ministry-funded courses offered through Seneca’s Faculty of Continuing Education.

Full-time employees with at least six years of service can apply for a compensated Professional Development Leave for up to one year.

Vacation and Time Off
Seneca provides generous annual vacation entitlement to support a healthy work-life balance:
- full-time Administrative employees start at 22 days of vacation
- full-time Support Staff employees start at 15 days of vacation
- full-time Faculty employees receive two months of vacation
In addition to the above vacation entitlement, full-time Seneca employees receive full pay during the holiday closure period between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
