Overview

Important Notice

The profession of early childhood education is one in which ongoing learning is critically important. These workshops are designed to support the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in upgrading and enhancing their professional practice. They support the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for ECE as required by the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE). These workshops support the legal requirements for a licensed child care program as defined by The Ministry of Education of Ontario's The Child Care and Early Years Act.

To support RECEs in their ongoing learning and support the best practice requirements of the CECE and Ministry of Education, Seneca has designed the following in-class workshops. The workshops currently cover topics from interpreting CPL requirements and how to implement them, to the ELECT document in your practice, ECE Professional Practice and Child Guidance Part I and Behavioural Guidance Techniques, with more topics to be introduced.

Students should check with the CECE to see if this workshop qualifies for their professional portfolio.
