Overview

The Change Management & Innovation executive certificate program is designed to empower professionals with the strategic knowledge and practical skills needed for successful organizational transformations. This program delves into the latest theories, methodologies and best practices in change management, equipping participants with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in driving and sustaining change.

Graduates will be qualified to move into various roles in organizations undergoing change initiatives. Potential job titles include change management specialist, change analyst, organizational development consultant, project manager/consultant, product manager and business analyst. These roles can be found across industries including consulting, healthcare, finance, technology, government and non-profit organizations. Upon successful completion of the program, learners will be equipped for promotion and future management opportunities within their industry.

Program Delivery

This executive certificate will be offered through online delivery. Courses run on weekday evenings, allowing you to work full time while earning this certificate.

Courses

This certificate consists of three interconnected courses and can be completed in a total of 15 weeks.

Meet Your Professors

Ruth-Anne Boyd

Ruth-Anne Boyd

Ruth-Anne Boyd is a leading change management, digital communications, and education leader in Canada. Adept in building strategic change management strategies, she focuses on the people side of digital transformations and organization-wide changes. During her more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, healthcare and government, Ms. Boyd has received numerous recognitions and awards for change management, communications and customer experience, including a Best in Canada award for a Bank of Montreal initiative.

Ms. Boyd holds a bachelor’s in business administration (BBA) degree from Yorkville University and is expected to complete her Master of Education this December 2024. She is a Prosci-certified change management practitioner (CMP) and a certified scrum master (CSM). 

Wei Yang

Wei Yang

Wei Yang is a seasoned and pragmatic leader in business-technology transformation, specializing in consulting, modernization and change management. Her expertise spans product development, strategic management and program/project governance, with a focus on the financial services sector, including capital markets, treasury and wealth management. 

Currently, she serves as a director at Scotiabank, where she plays a leadership role in shaping global wealth management product strategy. In her previous roles, Ms. Yang managed global capital markets’ engineering and consulting teams, focusing on large-scale business platform modernization. 

Ms. Yang has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
