Practical nursing is a profession with its foundation in caring, nursing theory, health related theory and research. As a Registered Practical Nurse, your education was informed by the theory, principles, practices and values needed for practice in the industry. Through continuous learning and experience, you can build on this foundation so that you are prepared to deliver care to increasingly complex clients. If you are interested in building on your studies, Seneca is offering a bridging pathway to its Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing degree program. This will ensure you are well prepared for the rigours of further academic study and, upon successful completion of the bridging program, you’ll be eligible to enter Semester 5 (Year 3) of Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing degree.
As a working nurse pursuing this program, you will benefit from the flexibility of bridging courses that will be offered primarily online, with a synchronous class scheduled when you are more likely to have a day off. In addition, the in-person component of the bridge will be delivered towards the end of the program.
