Due to recent decisions by the federal government related to international students, we are expecting enrolment at Markham Campus to decline. This will mean a smaller student population studying out of this campus.
As a result, we are temporarily closing the Markham Campus at the end of the Fall 2024 Term. To keep you connected to our thriving Seneca community, we are moving programs to either Newnham Campus or Seneca@York Campus as of the Winter 2025 Term.
You will be contacted directly by Seneca to confirm your new campus location effective as of the Winter 2025 Term. You can also view the program availability list to confirm campus locations by program.
Both campuses provide exceptional learning and study spaces, a diverse student population, and a broad range of services and activities to support and engage you throughout your time with us. We invite you to take a virtual tour to get acquainted with our facilities.
Shuttle services will not continue at Markham Campus; students and employees who live and work near Markham Campus can, however, use YRT.
Both the Newnham and Seneca@York campuses have many on-site student services and amenities, and is easily accessible by car, TTC or our free inter-campus shuttle bus.

The delivery format of your program remains the same.
No, your study permit will not be impacted by the change in campus location.
You do not need to submit a transfer request. Your transfer to the Newnham Campus or Seneca@York Campus will be automatic.
You can access services at Markham campus until the end of the Fall 2024 Term. After that, you can connect with student services at Newnham Campus or Seneca@York Campus. The Service Hub is here to help and can be reached through email, live chat, WhatsApp, SMS or on campus. Students who are connected to support through Accessibility Learning and Counselling Services will continue to have seamless access.

A new Letter of Acceptance reflecting the updated campus location will be available in Student Home "Communications Center" by November 4, 2024.
If you have a study permit application in progress, you may submit a webform with your new LOA reflecting the campus change. This change will not impact your application.
If your study permit application has been approved or if you already have a valid study permit, you are not required to inform IRCC of a campus change.
