This Canadian Red Cross blended learning course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Learn how to recognize and deal with common medical emergencies including choking, cardiac arrest and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children and babies. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Please note:

  • You must bring proof of the online learning Certificate of Completion with you to class.
  • Approximately two weeks before the in-class date, you will be granted access to the online learning portion of this course. This will come through an email from the Canadian Red Cross and can take up to eight hours to complete. Please ensure this online coursework is completed before the date of the in-class training.
  • After receiving access to the online learning portion of the course, no refunds will be allowed.

Emergency First Aid/ CPR-C

This Canadian Red Cross basic one-day Emergency First Aid course offers lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Learn how to recognize and deal with common medical emergencies including choking and cardiac arrest for adults, children and babies. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

CPR913
Basic Life Support (BLS)

This Canadian Red Cross BLS course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. It teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Emphasis will be placed on how to perform CPR for adults, children and infants as a single responder or using a team approach. This course is designed for in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in fire service, sports-medicine, lifeguards, and ski patrol. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
