Discover how to design innovative floral compositions for special occasions. Students learn how to create and coordinate holiday table arrangements including baskets, wreaths, candle rings and topiary.
One year floral design experience or PFD101
During this one day hands on workshop students participate in the planning and preparation of floral pieces for a wedding, taking into consideration concepts such as colour, location of ceremony, religion and other important aspects. A demonstration of two floral pieces is given and students create a bouquet and a centerpiece.
Don't get overwhelmed before you start a garden plan. Learn to creative a backyard garden oasis by mixing the perfect soil, using a creative plan and selecting perennials, annuals, trees and shrubs. Care and maintenance of your garden and disease and pest control are covered.
Learn how to create spectacular summer garden containers that will enhance your outdoor living space. Container gardens offer the perfect solution for small areas in apartments or homes and can be moved to follow the light depending on the changing exposure. This hands-on course introduces students to the techniques to create and maintain stunning summer containers.
Create inspirational fall garden containers with the help of step-by step instructions from a design expert. This hands-on workshop introduces the techniques to create and maintain fall containers as you produce an amazing container for the outside of your home.
Identify which shrubs and trees need pruning, the perennials that can be divided, and how to mulch your garden for the winter season. Students learn how to use the proper tools and the techniques for pruning shrubs, trees and plants. Plant division, soil preparation, pest control and mulching are included.
Make the outside of your home as welcoming as the inside for holidays. Learn from one of Toronto's top floral designers how to create a fabulous winter urn insert using fragrant greens, branches and other holiday accents. Get tips on how to dress up the outside of your home to create a wow factor.
In this one day workshop students learn how to enhance the interior/exterior of a home with floral arrangements and plants. Students also learn how to construct a European hand-tied bouquet to take home with them.
In this two day workshop students learn the where, how and why of flowers for special events. Focus will be on sourcing floral material, creating a floral event plan and construction of a centre piece.
During this 3-hour workshop you will gain invaluable tips on how to care for cacti, succulents and air plants. As well, you will create 2 pieces of living art to take home with you.
All materials will be supplied. So encourage your friends to come along and get ready for a workshop of DIY creativity!!
